Here's to an unfwahgettable evening!

Thank you to everyone who dined with us at FWAH this weekend. First times can be sloppy, there are often kinks to be worked out, and finishing touches to be made, but first times are also a lot of fun, and fun we had...

On Sunday, March 29, FWAH opened it's doors for the very first time. Cool breeze filtered through the rustic windows, subduing the desert heat. It felt good to be open! And things went smoothly. And we couldn't have asked for a better group of first timers. Thank you.

The evening began with Thai tea and introductions, transitioning into a champagne toast and a word from our talented Chef, and then through a five-course meal, with art, wine, and of course, happy, woven seamlessly throughout the meal. Quiet chatter among strangers with common interests morphed into laughter, friendship, and admiration.

Arriving fashionably late, the lovely and talented Alexandra Fisher and Kevin Johnson, the artists behind Clamdiggin, gave a smart introduction to their work, displayed across the FW(A)H Artist's wall, and added a certain 'je ne sais quoi' to the evening.

For those of you who are smacking yourselves (or your lips) for missing out on this weekend's hippest dinner spot, fret not! Another FWAH dinner is just around the corner. Stay in the loop for menu details and dates.

Finally, we'd like to turn it over to our guests. How did you enjoy your first dining experience with FWAH? Do you have any suggestions for us? Please don't be shy!

  1. Atmosphere: relaxed & beautiful.
Community table: convivial, fun, smart people.
Afterwards, my dining companion & I skipped down the sidewalks of downtown -- high on the heady yet healthful tastes and the artistry of it all.
